Snow Day!

On Monday, Maddie did not have school because it was supposed to start snowing. Boy did it come. However, it didn't come until Tuesday. School has been cancelled everyday this week due to the weather. Tuesday it snowed all day long. We had around 7 inches. Then, around 4pm Tuesday it started to sleet and lasted through the night. We ended up with about 1 1/2 inches of ice on top of the snow. Of course we weren't done yet. It snowed another 4 inches Wednesday morning. So, now we have 7 inches of snow, 1 1/2 inches ice, and 4 inches of snow on top of that. Needless to say, it looks like a winter wonderland! Poor chase can't even walk outside to go potty because the snow is taller than he is. This is just what we've been waiting for. It's a once in a lifetime for us!
Ready for lots of snow fun!

You can see how much snow we've gotten on the fountain.

We had a great weekend a couple of weekends ago. We went to the Cincinnati Aquarium. There were lots of great fish, some nasty snakes, and a really cool frog room. The kids loved it. They got to see sharks and race the penguins.

So, once we got to Indiana we had 3 more Chirstmases to celebrate. This was after our haroing journey from Ohio to Indiana. What should have been a 4 hour drive turned into a 6 hour drive due to the ice storm going on as we were driving. We saw more cars off on the side of the road than we ever had. We also drove on roads that were so slippery and covered in ice, when we had to stop at the one stop sign (thankfully there was only 1) we started to slide off the road due to the slope of it. Because of the ice storms, we also had to post-pone one Chirstmas celebration.

Well with three more Christmases the kids got lots more toys and had lots more fun. Check it out!

Christmas Morning!

Christmas morning came and Santa had visited. He brought lots of great toys along with mommy and daddy's toys. Grandma Bu was also there along with all of her presents. The kids had a great time opening their gifts, playing with their new toys, and eating the homemade cinnamon rolls mommy made. Connor really wanted a remote controlled dinosaur, but it was just not what Santa thought that he needed it. We figured that would be the one thing that would be missed, however he suprised us and was happy with the rest of his toys. Maddie on the other hand was very upset that her dollie only talked and did not cry. She's now over it.
Connor got a dinosaur city with cars and a dino that rips through the city, lots of dinos, a spiderman jet, a pop up tent, clothes, and a race car track. Maddie got a baby center, dollie, clothes, boa, clothes, tea picnic set, and of course her new Jeep. All in all they had a lot of fun.
Here are some pics of their Christmas morning.

'Twas the Night Before Christmas

The night before Christmas we made cookie cut-outs and decorated them for Santa. We also made "Reindeer Food" for the reindeer so that they would see our house and not get hungry.
