Reds / Cubs game

We often get tickets to go to different events and when the chance to go to see the Reds play the Cubs came along of course we had to take it. Being from up north, near Chicago, the Cubs had always been a favorite team of ours.

I have to say, we've been to 3 or 4 professional games with the kids and they are PIGS when we go. They have to eat every junk food that they sell. So needless to say, they ate hotdogs, popcorn, and of course their most favorite...cotton candy!

I told you they like popcorn!

Ok, using the hands just doesn't get it into the mouth fast enough. Just go with dumping the box into your mouth and save the time!

So, here is where my camera pooped out on me. So this will be my last post with pics in it until I can get a new one.

T-ball

Since we missed t-ball pictures I had to make sure that I did my own pics. I think they turned out pretty well. Here they are:

Mowing

So. We have a HUGE backyard. Since we are renting the house we did not get a riding lawn mower. One afternoon while daddy was mowing, C decided that he was going to help. I thought that this picture was so cute of them. You can see that they are father and son.

5 generations!

For those of you that are not in our family or don't know our family, we do have 5 generations of men. I think this is really cool and I'm proud to show them off. I really try to get pics anytime we have all 5 generations together. This summer we got together over Memorial weekend, so here's the latest picture of the 5 generations.

Trees

When each of the kids were born grandma planted trees for each of them. This is her way of doing something just for them. We try to get pics with the kids with their trees at least once a year to show how the kids and the trees have grown. Here are the kids with their trees.

This is C's tree. He has a fur tree that is growing at the same rate, for now.

Miss M has a tulip tree. Her's was very small when it was planted, but in 3 years it has really sprouted up. So now it's really big, and she is still 2% :) (in case you don't know, when the doc took her weight and height, she was at the 2% mark...and has been since she was born. So her nickname is 2%)

Here's our family, notice the WHOLE family had to be involved. Chase just can't stay out of pics or too far away from us.

My little man graduates!

Well...not actually. He tested into the "4's" class last year. His birthday is in early October so he technically has one more year of pre-k since he misses the cutoff by about a month. But all of his friends were graduating and since he was in the 4's, they let him go through graduation. It was the cutest thing I've seen. They took graduation pics in their cap and gowns and did the whole graduation ceremony. They actually walked into the sanctuary to Pomp and Circumstance!

He of course was the first one to grab the microphone in front of him in the middle of the ceremony and yell into it. We were horrified! Luckly, he was not the only one to do this. Many other kids ended up doing it though out the ceremony. He just had to be the first!

In case you weren't sure, he is the one with the cap on backwards. That would be because, at the very start of the ceremony, he was dancing around and flipped his cap off. When he put it back on, it was backwards. Oops!

The BIG 3-0!

Ok, so most people don't want to turn 30. Well, I just did. I turned 30 in May and I was actually looking forward to it! All I keep hearing from older women is that their 30's were so much fun. They felt secure in themselves, had their family going, felt secure in their family setting, and most of all they felt that it was their "prettiest" years. So, going on all that I have heard, I am actually looking forward to my 30's. We are happy with our little family, we are still kind of enjoying moving around (all-be-it we are getting anxious to have our own house again and stop renting). I can't say yet that I feel prettier than I did as a teenager or even in my 20's but, I am bound and determined to enjoy my 30's. So here are some pics from my birthday. It wasn't big, just us, but I enjoyed it and I got my computer! So far, a good start!

This is my cake from "The Cone"! My wonderful husband got it for me, as that was the ONLY thing that I wanted for my birthday! He worked hard for it too. When he tried to order it they said that they didn't know what he was talking about. So he went there before coming home from work to get one, and they still gave him the run-around. Apparently, he was calling it and Oreo cake, and it's actually called and Orea PIE! Well, the main thing is...he got it! It was so tasty too! It's sad to think that this will be my only birthday Cone Oreo Pie :(

Bunny

Wow! It's been a long time since I've blogged. I'm reading other blogs and it's really gotten me inspired. I'm going to try to be better. Right now, my camera is broken, so I'm going to just put some old pics up that I've not put up lately. Once I get a new camera, I'll be able to post updated pics.

One day this spring, I went out to feed the birds and when I went to put the bucket of food back, I spotted a baby bunny right behind it. It was the cutest little thing. I took a couple of pics of him. We couldn't figure out where he came from and about an hour later I went to check on him and he was gone. We now have a "teenager" bunny that tends to visit our backyard quite a bit. Maybe our little friend from before.
