First day of 1st grade and kindergarden

This year is the start of a big year for us. We have big man starting 1st grade and princess starting kindergarden. We are also starting full pads, tackle football, cheerleading, tap, ballet, and a new church program (and that's just the fall schedule).

Here's what the first day of school looked like for us this year.
Beautiful girl.
Handsome man.
I love these two so much!
Ready for first grade!
Wouldn't look at me. This was the best I could get from her.
She loved it anyway.

Football

This summer also started our first season of tackle football. We are on the Raven's Pee Wee team and are looking forward to a wonderful season. We are also going to have a Pee Wee Raven's cheerleader this season. I am soooo looking forward to all that this fall has in store for us.

Just so you know, in the practice pictures, he's the black jersey and white pants with short black socks.

Tough game face.
Ready on the line.
Blocking.
He looks so big.
Ready to hit the bag.
Get 'em!
Look at him carry that ball!
End of practice huddle and prayer.

New School Year and All the Happenings...

Well, it's the second week of school and I now officially have a 1st grader and Kindergardner! It's hard to believe. Our lives are in full swing busy and we are hoping this stinkin heat subsides soon. The temperature over the weekend was record setting. Saturday was 111 degrees and Sunday was 114 degrees! We now offically live on the surface of the sun. And I'm ready to move!

Moving on...We have had a LOT of new things happen since our last post. Mainly becuase I have completely dropped the ball on updating my blog. AGH! I just need more time in the day and more days in the week and more weeks in the year and more years in the...yada yada yada. Here's a glimpse of our life over the summer in the form of pictures. And hopefully a video (I'm gonna give it a try).

We headed to a ski park and someone learned to wakeboard.
Ready to go.
Yep, he did it!
We headed to Cheer Camp and learned some new cheers.
Swam in "10 feet of water without our lifejackets".
Got a new tube for the boat.
And learned that you MUST wear goggles while on it.
Learned how to drive...OH NO...watch out world a 6 year old driver!
Compared height to our birthday pine tree.
And birthday tulip tree.
I just love this one and had to throw it in.
Tubed with our cousins.
Made SMORES. And a bit of a mess of ourselves.
Played with fireworks.
Stood in a really big tractor's wheels.
And got a new 80 cent hummingbird feeder.
Which we have enjoyed all summer long!
