Presents, Cake slice, but not everything's nice...

Tuesday was Miss M's 4th birthday. She started off the day by going to school. I picked her and Mr. Man up and we headed home. They took their naps and played. Then daddy came home early and we had dinner together. Dinner was her choice and consisted of homemade beer battered fried shrimp & Kraft mac and cheese. Like I said, it was all her choice.
Then we opened presents. She got lots of great "loot". Among her favorites are the green and yellow binoculars that she imediately called her John Deer noculars. The only problem is that she likes to use them backwards.
She also got Strawberry Shortcake's scooter from her big brother. She LOVES it and was very excited to play with it. The only problem that I am seeing is that everytime you buy an accessory for Strawberry's house, it comes with another doll. So, she now has like 4 Strawberry Shortcake dolls! Oh well, PARTY at the Strawberry Shortcake house!!!
She got floor puzzles from the best cousins in the world and we made sure to that they were all put together the next day.

We ended the evening by having cake. She choose to have a Strawberry Shortcake cake (no suprise there, right?!?!?). She wanted strawberry cake with strawberry frosting. I decided that I'd make it look like a strawberry also. I made 2 strawberry cakes and filled them with sliced strawberries and strawberry jelly mixed together. Then I chilled them and cut them to look like a strawberry. I frosted the cake and used black gel to make the "seeds". Strawberry, Lemon Merangue, and Raspberry Torte all made an apperance at the party. And her name got to be in hot pink sparkle gel. It was VERY sweet but also tasty!
Happy Birthday Princess. Momma and Daddy love you so much!

On a not so pretty note, during the present opening time, Mr. Man started throwing up. He has had the flu (at least that is what I am assuming it is) for the last 2 days. The first night was not, I mean NOT fun. He was getting sick every 20 minutes from 8 pm till 2 am. Let's pray that it does not go any further in this house. "Sleeping" on the floor and watching my baby get so sick, is not fun and not something that I wish to relive much. He does seem to be on the mend and I am hoping that he can make it to school tomorrow since it's spring picture day.
